1. Introduction
Welcome to CoinQuant, a trading research and backtesting platform owned and operated by COINQUANT FZCO (hereinafter referred to as "We", "Us", "Our Company", "CoinQuant"). The Platform is designed to empower users by providing educational research, AI-assisted analysis, strategy exploration, and historical backtesting tools. Our goal is to provide advanced tools that simplify research and strategy exploration while maintaining high standards of security and user control.
The Services offered by CoinQuant include a variety of features to support your research activities. Strategy Creation allows users to leverage an AI-powered chatbot to generate strategy ideas directly from natural-language input, transforming ideas into structured strategy logic. With Backtesting & Comparison, you can evaluate the historical performance of your strategies against past market data, compare multiple approaches, and analyze potential effectiveness.
Access to CoinQuant Services is provided on a subscription basis, available through our domains coinquant.ai, coinquant.io, and coinquant.co. By accessing or using the Site, the Services, or the Application (collectively, the "Platform"), you explicitly agree to these Terms of Service. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of all provisions, including those related to account responsibilities, financial risk, and compliance with applicable laws.
2. User Accounts & Data Collection
2.1 Account Creation
In order to access and use the Platform, users are required to create a personal account through our authentication provider, Auth0. During account registration, you must provide certain mandatory information, including your first and last name, and a valid email address. Additionally, you may provide optional information, such as your phone number and payment details, which are processed securely through Stripe. You acknowledge and agree that all information you provide must be accurate, complete, and kept up-to-date. Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the Platform.
By creating an account, you authorize CoinQuant to collect, store, and process the information necessary to operate the Services, facilitate payments, communicate with you regarding your account, and ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
2.2 Account Security
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials is solely your responsibility. You agree to safeguard your username, password, and any other authentication methods associated with your account. Unauthorized access or use of your account may result in loss of data, financial loss, or other damages. You are obligated to notify CoinQuant immediately at support@coinquant.ai if you become aware of any unauthorized use, breach, or security vulnerability affecting your account.
While CoinQuant implements reasonable security measures to protect user accounts, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access due to your failure to maintain account security. Users are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication where available, and monitor their accounts regularly for suspicious activity.
2.3 Data Privacy
CoinQuant collects, stores, and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The data collected may include, but is not limited to, account registration details, strategies, research history, and payment information. This data is used to provide and improve our Services, facilitate account management, ensure security, comply with applicable laws, and communicate important updates or notices regarding your account.
By using the Platform, you explicitly consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that your data may be stored on servers located in multiple jurisdictions and that CoinQuant employs industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
3. Services Description
3.1 Product Scope
CoinQuant provides educational market research, AI-assisted research, strategy exploration, and historical backtesting tools. The Dashboard allows users to view the history of their backtests, manage saved research, and interact with the AI-powered chatbot to generate or refine strategy ideas. The Strategy Builder enables users to translate natural-language strategies into structured strategy logic. Through the Backtests feature, users can review, manage, and analyze the historical performance of strategy ideas against past market data. The Profile Management section provides users with the ability to update personal information and manage subscription plans.
By using these Services, you acknowledge that the Platform is a technological tool designed to support research and educational activities but does not guarantee any financial outcomes.
3.2 No Investment Advice
CoinQuant does not provide investment, financial, legal, tax, trading, or other professional advice. All reports, AI outputs, strategy ideas, and backtest results are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
3.3 No Live Trading or Execution
CoinQuant does not execute trades, place orders, route orders, manage portfolios, or connect to broker or exchange accounts for live trading through the mobile app.
3.4 No Custody, No Wallet Services, No Exchange
CoinQuant does not custody user funds or digital assets, does not store private keys, and does not provide wallet, exchange, brokerage, or money transmission services.
3.5 AI Output Limitations
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unsuitable for a user's specific goals or circumstances. Users are responsible for independently reviewing and validating all outputs.
3.6 Backtesting Limitations
Backtests are historical simulations based on available data, assumptions, parameters, and models. Backtest results do not represent actual trading results and do not guarantee future performance.
4. Payments & Currencies
4.1 Payment Methods
All payments for subscriptions and other services are processed securely via Stripe, a third-party payment provider. Accepted currencies currently include USD, EUR, and GBP, although other currencies may be displayed during the checkout process depending on your location and Stripe's processing capabilities. Subscription fees are automatically renewed unless canceled in accordance with Section 7.
You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and ensuring that your payment method remains valid and authorized. CoinQuant reserves the right to suspend Services if a payment fails or is declined.
4.2 Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable, except where expressly required by law. CoinQuant does not provide refunds for partial usage of Services within an active billing cycle. You acknowledge and agree that by subscribing, you assume responsibility for managing subscription renewals and billing cycles.
4.3 Taxes & Duties
Users are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees imposed by their local jurisdiction on payments, subscriptions, or transactions conducted through the Platform. CoinQuant may provide billing statements or receipts, but it does not calculate or remit local taxes on behalf of users unless explicitly required by law.
4.4 Subscriptions and Credits
Subscriptions provide access to the features and credit allocations described on the pricing page applicable to your subscription tier.
Credits are the unit by which usage of certain Platform features is metered. Credits may be consumed for actions such as running backtests, generating AI research outputs, and other compute-intensive operations. The number of credits required for a given action is displayed in the Platform and may vary by feature and complexity.
Each subscription tier includes an allocation of credits granted at the start of each billing cycle. Credits granted as part of a subscription do not roll over to subsequent billing cycles unless explicitly stated for a given plan; any unused subscription credits at the end of the billing cycle are forfeited. Users may also purchase additional credit packs ("top-ups") at any time. Top-up credits do not expire while the associated account remains active and in good standing.
Credits have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash or any other consideration, and cannot be refunded once consumed. Credits are tied to the account that purchased or earned them and cannot be transferred, sold, gifted, or assigned to another user or account.
CoinQuant reserves the right to refuse, suspend, reverse, or revoke any subscription, credit grant, or top-up where it detects fraud, abuse, payment disputes, chargebacks, or other violations of these Terms.
5. Data Storage & Hosting
CoinQuant's Services are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All user data, including account information, strategies, backtest results, and (where applicable) wallet linkages, is stored on AWS servers, which may be located in multiple jurisdictions worldwide. Data retention continues until the user deletes their account or the data is otherwise required to be removed in accordance with applicable laws.
CoinQuant implements commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, you acknowledge that no system can be completely secure, and CoinQuant cannot guarantee absolute protection against all data breaches, hacking attempts, or other security incidents.
6. CQX Rewards Program (Web platform only)
6.1 Program Scope
The CQX rewards program is available only on the web platform. The mobile application does not include wallet connection, reward claim functionality, or any other CQX program features.
6.2 Wallet Connection for Identification and Reward Tracking
Wallet connection, where available, is used only for account linking, airdrop points, eligibility, or related reward tracking. Connecting a wallet does not authorize CoinQuant to control, transfer, or custody assets. CoinQuant does not receive private keys, seed phrases, or signing authority through wallet connection; these remain solely with the user's wallet provider.
6.3 Rewards Are Discretionary
Participation in the CQX rewards program is voluntary. CoinQuant reserves the right to modify, pause, restructure, or terminate the program, including changes to eligibility criteria, point calculations, distribution mechanics, and reward amounts, at any time and at its sole discretion. CQX rewards have no guaranteed value and are not promised as compensation for any user activity.
6.4 No Investment Solicitation
The CQX rewards program is not, and is not intended to be, an offer or solicitation of any investment, security, or financial product. Eligibility for CQX rewards is not, and shall not be construed as, a promise of financial return, profit-sharing, or any economic benefit. Users participate at their own initiative and assume all associated risks.
6.5 Anti-Abuse
Reward eligibility is conditioned on bona fide use of the Platform. Conduct that abuses, manipulates, or attempts to game the rewards program — including but not limited to creating multiple accounts to multiply allocations, automated farming of points, sybil attacks, collusion, or any conduct described in Section 7 — will result in forfeiture of accrued rewards, exclusion from the program, and may result in account termination.
7. User Responsibilities
7.1 Acceptable Use
By using the Platform, you agree to use it solely for lawful and intended purposes. Without limiting other obligations under these Terms, you agree that you will not:
- Abuse, exploit, or attempt to manipulate the credit system;
- Farm credits, airdrop points, or any other Platform incentive system;
- Create fake or multiple accounts to exploit promotions, free trials, referral programs, or reward allocations;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, exploit, or otherwise attempt to circumvent security measures or proprietary technology within the Platform;
- Scrape, copy, harvest, or resell Platform outputs, data, or content, whether by manual or automated means;
- Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security mechanisms;
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or other automated tools to abuse the Platform;
- Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, manipulative, or abusive activity;
- Attempt payment fraud, chargeback abuse, or any conduct designed to obtain Platform access without legitimate payment;
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
Additionally, users must not take any action that could impair the functionality, integrity, or performance of the Platform, or interfere with other users' access and experience. CoinQuant reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these obligations.
7.2 Financial Risks and User Responsibility
Financial markets are inherently risky, and users acknowledge that any decisions made on the basis of Platform outputs may result in financial loss. CoinQuant provides technological tools and analytics but does not provide investment advice or guarantee any outcomes. Users are solely responsible for their own financial, investment, trading, and risk decisions, including any decisions made on the basis of Platform outputs. Users should consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions. By using the Platform, you accept these risks and release CoinQuant from liability for losses arising from your decisions.
7.3 Subscription Management
Users may upgrade or downgrade their subscription plans via the Profile Management section. Auto-renewal of subscriptions can be canceled at any time; however, access to Services will continue until the end of the current billing period. CoinQuant reserves the right to suspend or terminate subscriptions in cases of violation of these Terms, improper use of the Platform, or breach of applicable laws.
8. Intellectual Property
All code, AI models, graphics, content, and documentation available on the Platform are the exclusive property of CQ Holding Limited. Users retain ownership of their original strategies but grant CoinQuant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and store these strategies within the Platform as necessary to provide the Services.
Unauthorized copying, distribution, adaptation, or modification of the Platform, including its code, AI models, or content, is strictly prohibited. Users must respect the intellectual property rights of CoinQuant and third-party providers integrated within the Platform.
9. Data Deletion & Account Termination
Users may delete their accounts at any time via the Profile Management section. Upon account deletion, all associated data, including strategies, backtests, and (where applicable) linked wallet connections, will be permanently erased from the Platform. CoinQuant may retain minimal billing information for compliance with applicable laws, tax regulations, and auditing purposes.
CoinQuant may suspend or terminate accounts, revoke credits, restrict access, or remove rewards where it detects fraud, abuse, payment disputes, chargebacks, policy violations, or security risk. Account termination does not absolve users from any obligations incurred prior to termination, including financial or legal responsibilities.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
The Services provided by CoinQuant are delivered on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. CoinQuant makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the profitability, reliability, availability, accuracy, or suitability of the Services for any particular purpose. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept that any financial activity undertaken on the basis of Platform outputs involves risk, including the potential for partial or total loss of capital.
CoinQuant shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from the use of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses incurred from decisions made on the basis of Platform outputs, technical failures, downtime, or outages caused by third-party services such as AWS. Additionally, CoinQuant disclaims responsibility for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or other economic losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CoinQuant, its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of third parties.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising from or relating to them, shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Users agree that any legal proceedings arising from or relating to these Terms, the use of the Platform, or any associated services, shall be conducted solely in the competent courts located in the United Arab Emirates.
By using the Platform, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of these courts and waive any objections to jurisdiction or venue that may arise under applicable law. This section does not prevent CoinQuant from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in other jurisdictions if necessary to protect its rights or assets.
12. Changes to Terms
CoinQuant reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on the Platform and are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For significant changes that materially affect user rights or obligations, CoinQuant will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email. Users are responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically to ensure awareness of any updates. If you do not agree to any revised Terms, you must cease using the Platform immediately.
13. Contact Information
If you have any questions, concerns, or require support regarding your account or the Platform, you may contact CoinQuant at support@coinquant.ai.
CoinQuant will make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries promptly. Users should provide sufficient information to allow the support team to address their concerns effectively.
