About this policy. This Privacy Policy applies to the CoinQuant web platform at coinquant.ai, coinquant.io, and coinquant.co. If you also use our CoinQuant mobile applications on iOS or Android, please review our Mobile App Privacy Policy, which covers the data practices specific to those applications. Some features described below — including the CQX rewards program, wallet connection, and the public leaderboard — are available only on this web platform and are not part of the mobile applications.

1. Introduction

Welcome to CoinQuant, a trading research and backtesting platform owned and operated by COINQUANT FZCO (hereinafter referred to as "We", "Us", "Our Company", "CoinQuant"). Protecting your privacy and personal data is a priority for us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, process, and use your information when you access or use our web platform, including the websites at coinquant.ai, coinquant.io, and coinquant.co, and the associated services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your data as described herein.

2. Information We Collect

To provide, operate, and improve our Services, CoinQuant collects information from users in several categories:

Account information. When you create an account, we collect personal information such as your first and last name, email address, phone number (if provided), and payment details, which are processed securely via Stripe. We receive transaction confirmations and subscription status from Stripe; full payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on CoinQuant's servers.

Activity data. We collect data related to your use of the Platform, including the strategies you create, the backtests you run, the research and analytics tools you interact with, and your subscription preferences.

Device and technical information. We collect IP addresses, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, crash logs, and usage logs to optimize Platform performance, debug issues, and protect against fraud.

Wallet connection data. If you choose to connect a third-party wallet (such as MetaMask or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet) in order to participate in the CQX rewards program, we collect your public wallet address and a record of your in-app participation events — such as eligibility checks, completed challenges, claim transactions, and reward distributions associated with your account. We never have access to your private keys, seed phrase, or signing authority; these remain solely with your wallet provider. Wallet connection is entirely optional, and you can use the Platform's research and backtesting features without ever connecting a wallet.

Public profile and leaderboard data. When you create published strategies, participate in community features, or appear on the leaderboard, certain information is displayed publicly to other users of the Platform. This may include your chosen display name or username, profile picture (if you upload one), aggregate performance metrics for strategies you have chosen to publish, and your relative ranking within the community. You can control which strategies are public, and you can choose a display name that does not reveal your real identity. Information that you have not chosen to publish is not displayed to other users.

Communications. Communications between you and our support team, including any attachments you choose to send, may be stored for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and improve our Services.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used to operate and improve the Platform, deliver the Services, and provide a secure user experience. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Process subscription payments and manage your account;
  • Provide research, backtesting, and analytical features, and surface performance metrics;
  • Verify eligibility for and distribute CQX rewards to users who choose to participate in the CQX rewards program;
  • Display public profiles, published strategies, and leaderboard rankings to other users of the Platform;
  • Communicate important updates, notices, and technical alerts about your account or the Platform;
  • Respond to your support requests;
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity;
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.

CoinQuant does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

CoinQuant may share your information with service providers who perform services on our behalf. These currently include:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and storage;
  • Analytics providers — to understand aggregate Platform usage and improve performance;
  • Customer support tooling — to manage and respond to support tickets;
  • WalletConnect and similar wallet connection protocols — to establish secure connections between your chosen wallet and the Platform when you opt into the CQX rewards program.

These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and use the information only for the purposes of providing services to CoinQuant.

Information may also be disclosed to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CoinQuant, its users, or others. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

5. Data Retention

CoinQuant retains personal and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, all associated strategies, backtests, research data, and wallet linkages are permanently erased from our systems, and your public profile and leaderboard entries are removed from public view. Minimal billing and transaction records may be retained for legal, regulatory, and tax compliance, including auditing obligations.

Note that any transactions already recorded on a public blockchain (for example, CQX reward distributions claimed to a connected wallet) cannot be erased by us, as those records exist outside of our control on a distributed public ledger.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time:

  • From the web platform, in Settings → My Profile;
  • From within the CoinQuant mobile app, in Settings → Account → Delete Account;
  • Or by emailing support@coinquant.ai from the email address linked to your account.

Once your deletion request is processed, we will permanently remove your personal data from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject only to the legal retention exceptions described in Section 5 and the on-chain limitation noted there.

7. Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Security measures include encryption in transit and at rest, secure server hosting, and controlled access protocols.

Despite these precautions, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and CoinQuant cannot guarantee absolute protection against all potential security breaches or unauthorized access.

8. User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access or request a copy of your data, correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information, request deletion of your personal data, or object to or restrict the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, you may contact us at support@coinquant.ai, and CoinQuant will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance the user experience, monitor usage patterns, and analyze trends. You may control or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, certain Platform features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

10. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your home jurisdiction, including the United Arab Emirates and other locations where CoinQuant operates. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers, provided they comply with applicable data protection regulations.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. CoinQuant does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take prompt steps to delete such information.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

CoinQuant may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Platform, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. For significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, CoinQuant may notify you via email or in-app notice.

13. Contact Information

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding your personal information or this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@coinquant.ai.

CoinQuant will make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries promptly and address your privacy concerns in accordance with applicable laws.
